Looking Back on 2022

Clearly, I didn’t post a lot this year. Let’s get an overview of all the things I hadn’t posted about: Want to hear it? Here it goes!

At the beginning of the year, this was not on my list of things to do, but by mid year, I decided to go ahead and finish Grad School. I completed my classwork in October and by mid-December I was able to officially announce my graduation. Completing my Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology Management – Done. I know have a bit (a lot actually) of time to reallocate to other interests.

Speaking of Interests, one of my goals in 2022 was to upgrade my HAM ticket to a General Class license. Not only did I accomplish that – I went ahead and took the Amateur Extra License too! I studied and yes I did in fact learn a thing or two by upgrading my license. I still have a lot to learn and experience with radio and I plan to get a little more active in the hobby, in particular with POTA (Parks On The Air).

I’ve accomplished a few health goals this year too. Without going into the long details, I know what the cause of the symptoms are and what I can do to address them. I still have some limitations to what I can and cannot do (don’t expect me to complete a triathlon this year) – the important thing is that I know I am fixable and am on the mend. I can make progress on my own in that regard.

I got to do a little traveling this year too. I’ve added two NL East stadiums to my visited list – New York Mets and Washington Nationals – now I still have to go back and check out the AL clubs. Perhaps now may be a better time to plan some baseball trips instead of waiting until the last minute. I travelled to New York in May – it was an awesome trip. I also knocked off the last intact Space Shuttle to take a selfie in front of – Enterprise, parked at the USS Intrepid museum. My second trip within a year to Washington, DC took place in September – treated myself to a Birthday Braves Away game! I’ve got plenty of more ballparks to visit and the new MLB schedule may allow for more of those trips to be legit Braves away games.

Last, but certainly not least, my day to day job is changing. I am super excited about the schedule change – but I know there are challenges and lessons to be learned ahead. I am looking forward to the future!

I may be able to be a little more social now. We shall see how I fit back into the fold.

And who knows – I may take the time to rebuild this web server, the site – and work on the content that I wanted to do to start with.

Good Times!
