From 23,000 Feet And Climbing…

It seems there are times that I totally forget I have a blog. I created this site to serve as a medium for content creation.

That being said the pilot on this aircraft stated we’d get some Turbulence. If you are one of the three people that actually read my posts, I hate to disappoint you, I doubt this flight will be a Hollywood Blockbuster… or could it?

I am flying back from New York City today. I flew up to New York this past weekend for a short getaway. I’ll send some links to a photo gallery soon. I came up to mark a few things off my bucket list. There are still plenty of things in NYC that could complete the bucket list, but some could be accomplished at home too. I needed a recharge, the kind I would think only a city like New York could provide.

I think one of my biggest pet peeves, in particular with transportation, is that it is inefficient. Being able to get from point a to point b on a system that just works? It’s not easy to do unless you own a car, which is the case at home but the exact opposite in NYC. If City and County governments in the Atlanta metro would get their act together and build reliable mass transit… wishful thinking for the south I suppose.

End that rant.

I’ve found it easy on this trip to be humbled. There is a lot to experience in this world. A lot of it is bad. At least we live in a place where most of that is filtered for us. Sometimes we want to reject or change that filter for ourselves, sometimes to our own detriment, although we think we are doing what’s right. We live in a place, The U.S. where we are allowed to be free. Free to move, free to think. Are we?

Rant (again).

The last two years are obviously different, and a lot of different things are troublesome. The cracks in the building are showing. not just in this country but in our society as a whole. From my perspective, I pray that the forces that dictate the opposite, that are demonstrating their opposition to our freedom to roam, create, explore, educate and expand freedoms, would come to some enlightenment.

We reached 36,000 feet a short while ago. It’ll be time to start approaching to landing soon, only an hour from landing. I,m gonna sign off and end this random musing that I paid $5 to have an internet connection to be able to post from the air.

April, 2022

Hello friends!

It’s been a minute since the latest update on this site. Content creation has clearly not been on the top of the priority list in life. It’s not gone, it just needs to sit on the back burner. Life dictates that sometimes. The story could be different, but I am not at the point where I work for myself. Most of us may never be.

Today is April 12th. Happy Birthday, Chris! If you read this, first round is on me!

Time to seize the day, because there is a lot I need to get done on a day off from work, and before going to a Braves game.

Content, where art thee?

Producing content requires first and foremost, time.

Right now I lack it. Why, I haven’t carved any time out for much content to produce on this site. Am I not bored enough? Absolutely not. I’m stretched and smothered all over and any free time I do have leftover I need to vegetate.

Right now silence may be the best course of action.

Until next time.

When the Internet is Out

When the Internet is out at home, this site is not accessible.

There is a way to keep a shadow of the live site available, I might want to look into those services. If I actually was earning a living doing this, 2 days down because the Internet was out is not acceptable.

Published Thoughts on Success

Rambling thoughts on Quality over quantity and success.

I wish I could say that has always been my practice. There are times at the end of the day you need to meet your stats and numbers. You need to reach towards some attainable goal. The 80% will get you by, won’t it?

It’s a lot easier when you can set your own goals and no one is interrupting your day and dictating them for you, demanding your services on demand and immediately, because someone, somewhere along the line made a mistake, or got lazy and suddenly found themselves in hot water, or some dim was left in charge to make bad decisions and turn your life into hell. That’s one way to look at things. The people part of the equation is why I have a job. On the same token, I am just as guilty of making mistakes, waiting to the last minute and creating unnecessary chaos.

Doing it wrong a thousand times over gets you nowhere. One of the things that appears to be a universal constant, success breeds success. When one surrounds themselves around successful people, open minded to sharing ideas and thoughts, intent on acting and achieving their goals, the game changes drastically in your favor.

That is what some games may teach us when we win, others may demonstrate as they trudge through their lives & overcome the obstacles of life, and what I need to figure out what’s working, what’s not and what needs to change.

Find out what successful people do and try to do it better than they can. If I fail, get up and try again a different way, their way perhaps. If that doesn’t work start over at square one, and if you still don’t succeed, reconsider your position, do your homework and tackle it when you have a better grasp of it.

That’s all for today.
